The Headlines:
You will be part of the Data Integration and Management team. The person will partner with business leaders to assess requirements, define strategy, and deliver solution that meets the business’ needs including enterprise-wide data strategy, growing the data dictionary, and building a repository of the enterprise’s data. An ideal candidate will be able to effectively interact and respond to questions from managers, employees, customers and vendors while remaining data-minded.
The Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, deploy, and transition solutions to address business requirements including deciding on integrated data designs
- Construct a single and authoritative repository of the enterprise’s data through conceptual and logical data models
- Engage and oversee consultants and third parties for the fulfillment of duties as well as perform hands-on work designing and developing solutions
- Partner with the business to drive continuous improvement in data governance practices, leading the implementation including leading education programs around data governance and data quality
- Build cross-functional relationships to understand data needs and help projects and agile teams deliver on those needs
The Other Qualifications:
- You have a Bachelor’s degree
- You have at least 1 year of experience in data architecture, data modeler or a similar role with demonstrated experience in data projects
- Experience producing data deliverables for BI or analytics solutions in a data architect, data analyst, or data modeler role, in a large, complex business
- Strong understanding of data and information architecture
- Direct hands-on experience designing and developing data solutions, particularly in a data architect or data modeler role, sufficient to actually perform these functions in periods of low demand when 3rd parties are not being utilized

Responsibilities:
The mission of the Data Architect is to facilitate oversight and control for GFFCU leaders and decision makers through data. The Data Architect is responsible for ensuring the consistent and timely centralization and exposition of data resources within the enterprise. This includes conducting all activities related to the research, design, implementation, administration and enhancement of business intelligence, decision support, database management and the enterprise data warehouse systems. Qualifications:
REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor of Arts/Science degree from an accredited university in the field of computer science, MIS or comparable related technical discipline is required
- Five or more years, hands-on experience with database development, modeling and governance within a RDBMS environment required.
- Strong SQL programming skills required.
- Strong knowledge of database structure systems and data mining.
- SSRS, SSAS, SSIS, Tableau Server and/or Tableau Online preferred.
- Analytics, BI and/or Data Science related experience a plus.
- One-year experience in financial industry helpful.
- Must demonstrate superior communication/interpersonal skills and outstanding organizational skills, exercise exceptional independent judgment, effectively prioritize work, and maintain strict confidentiality.

Enterprise Data- Financial Data Architect

What’s the role?
In this role you will be working with the Bloomberg Enterprise Data Product Management Team specifically on Reference, Regulatory, Alternative and Pricing Data. We are constantly improving our products, to make them more feature rich and application ready, whilst reducing the total cost of ownership. Product Managers have a high level of business, communication, and technology skills, so that they can create working prototypes, specify Engineering tasks, and work effectively with Sales and Clients.
You will design, specify, and create prototypes of large and varied data models and data sets, both financial and non-financial, using a wide range of tools, methods and platforms.
We expect you to evaluate areas of interest, understand what is possible and commercially viable, recognize which models and concepts should be applied, and how the data resources should be acquired. An open, creative approach is critical to your success.
Whilst designing data for diverse addressable markets, you will explore and work with a wide range of data, and apply existing methods or develop new methods. You will also engage in data analysis in a practical way, convince business leaders that your results are worth investing in and educate other analysts and business team members.
Most critically, you will deliver the output of your data design to business users (both non-technical and technical) and will be a key person in shaping the product offering and the customer experience.
