Drone Prototyping Engineer
As a Drone Prototyping Engineer at Vertex, you will be the bridge between digital design and physical reality. You will be responsible for the rapid design, fabrication, and iteration of our sUAS platforms. Your work will enable us to test new concepts in hours and days, not weeks and months. You will be a critical, hands-on member of the engineering team, working directly with autonomy and electrical engineers to build and fly the next generation of intelligent, autonomous aircraft.
- Design and model drone airframes, sensor mounts, and electro-mechanical components using CAD software.

The Opportunity
Flock Safety is seeking an experienced and passionate UAS Flight Test Engineer to join our team dedicated to advancing Drone as First Responder (DFR) programs. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in building out and conducting technical testing of different necessary components for DFR systems. In addition to this the candidate will be piloting drones, supporting logistics, and conducting research and development to enhance our DFR capabilities. The Skillset
- FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate: Required to operate drones for commercial purposes.
